School cleaning contracts are tendered by provincial education departments and by the schools themselves, usually per school or per district, with the staffing level and cleaning schedule written into the specification. Government-building cleaning runs through Public Works and municipalities, and hospital and clinic hygiene through the health departments — the same trade, but the hospital stream carries stricter infection-control and chemical requirements.
