Eskom is the single biggest buyer on the national eTenders system — it consistently has more open tenders than any government department. Its spend follows its plant: most of the coal fleet sits in Mpumalanga, which is why that province carries so much of Eskom's work, with transmission and distribution buying spread nationally. Since the transmission business was separated out, some notices now appear under the National Transmission Company rather than Eskom itself — both are listed here.
